I would like to call this a WIP-shot of a rough light work sketch. Now it is all about working out the details, bringing in some contrast, etc. - i'll write an article about what happens now and how i work out the details, in detailed describtion - but this might take a while, after i got much things to do these days...
Now there will be hours of careful painting, brutal painting is over now... :)
The stuff with the pigments on the base was an experiment, where i did put water and matte varnish at place and used big loads of pigments on top of it, i wanted to create this kind of dust, somehow... whatever, haha, I like the result... i am going to tell you more about it in the article...
Keep on happy painting!
Best Regards

Hmmm....when I look a these shots I can clearly see what I am doing wrong, concerning the "wet in wet" technique. I should remind myselfe that it's supposed to be a "sketch" of light and not wetblending of colors, neither on the base nor on the minis........damn trying to achieve more than I need to in this early stage of painting. Thanks for this strangely helpfull post Roman (and parden my, also strange, answer). :D
Oh, btw: looking good so far, looking forward to the finished piece :)
