A big reason for me why the blog was so silent was indeend my third and fourth move this year. 2021: the year of moving too much! :D
While I moved flat in January 2021 I also moved the old MV studio into my flat back then as Covid-19 was confusing and I had no better idea or plan back then.
Life goes on and this Summer I decided to move out of this flat again as I was not happy there. My wonderful girlfriend and I decided to move together and also find a new studio nearby, if possible.
After some time of investigation and checking with limited options available I found this place:
Located, still in Augsburg, but a bit on the city edge it was close by to my new home and also a creative place of musicians and other artists. Also a part of the Kulturpark, I was lucky this room was free during the time I was searching for a studio place.
it was time to pack up the old studio again
Batman can do that!
Let's bring it on!
Days of unpacking, organising the place
Realized this is - for the first time - my very first own studio that I feel good with
It was a joy to get this ready ...
Area for breaks and private coaching discussion, away from the painting table
Sunsets at the studio!!!
2021 was quite the ride. A ride that did not left me with much powers to settle down and arrive. This is acctually quite essential for me to calm down and paint big plans and happily. Now all feels right and just and good and I am looking forward to swing the brush and settle in, arrive. I am looking forward to many wonderful experiences in this new studio, finding back to my creative flow, meeting many nice students during private coachings and painting with friends...
I swear I will not move anything anymore in the close future!
you might remember Sergio, he who presented a super awesome cool fan project to Massive Voodoo during the Monte San Savino Show 2014.
He so much surprised Raffa and Roman at the show when he gave the project to us, saying he is the biggest fan of MV on this planet and he gives this gift to us because he learned so much from the jungle. Well, we were absolutely speechless back then and still are.
Raffa, Sergio and Roman
The Jungle, speechless?
Yes, but you know true monkeys can not be silent when touched at heart so we decided to do some photos of Sergio's project back in our studio where it has a special place in our cabinet, just close to the Orc bomber of Roman, a gift miniature by Conrad and many more.
We hope you enjoy Sergio's cool and lovely tribute project to Massive Voodoo:
This is just too cool and if you look close and are a constant reader of MV you might find very funny things in it! Thank you, Sergio!
Yes, another year has almost passed and as you could probably guess by the last weeks on the blog we are currently taking care of Christmas time with our families and friends!
We wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us this year and say to you a Merry Christmas!
We hope you have a great, relaxing and good Christmas time with family and friends and get some energies back for your next crazy projects!
I think the next days will be very calm on the blog... but soon we will be back with full force jungle drums!
I felt it is time again for some Jungle News due several reasons.
First of all the last one was written back in February 2011 which is quite some time back. Second there is much to tell and announce that would just simply overwhelm the jungle when written in single posts and third I need to empty my brain from all my burdens :D - I somehow have so much running through my mind and I just have to let go in here and find some time to rest on the stormy shore in my head. I try to do Jungle News more often from now on to find back some discipline and order again. Sometimes you need such a reset in your brain to fly into the future :)
So enjoy, read carefully to get the information you require and leave a comment if you got any questions or just want to write "Banana!" in the apes jungle territory.
Let's start with some MV News.
Different Infos about Competitions, Report and Painting Classes, which in the end might be the biggest part in these news.
MV EASTER SEASON CHALLENGE
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is but one to talk about right now: The MV Easter Season Challenge which ended yesterday night. Your Apes want to thank those who participated deeply. We never expected so many entries with such a strange but creative task.
As many named us one of the best in the Internet when it comes to creative competitions about miniatures we just have to give you the credits back. Really it is just about your entries and everyone is simply stunning. We are truely amazed and still sorting out the entries to bring up a big gallery for you here in the jungle. You might expect to see those around Wednesday next week. Please be patient.
Maybe you recognized the jungle for having some virus proplems in the last months. We are finally safe like Fort Knox again and had to remove the linked up galleries to some of our older contests as they have been the reason for some security problems. In the near future you will find our contest entries in galleries on our facebook account.
We are sorry due these reasons but the jungle is already so filled up with information it is about time to get it slim again. We keep you informed about it!
1000!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The awesome unique project you can win is growing constantly. Started with the idea of Matt and Ben it seems like it is becoming a deep dive into my mind's wonderlands. Thanks for further more entries in the last couple of weeks they really keep me motivated in keeping it growing. If you want to learn more about the big 1000 Follower celebrations check this link!
and a little teaser ...

Don't miss this awesome update on my personal jungle drums ...
Sometimes I talk to much instead of getting things done, building castles in the sky without setting forth ... and sometimes I realize it after a while and get back to cannonball-mode :)
There have been no posting from me here for some time... I´m doing a lot of basic work for my dissertation at the moment and preparing everything for a long research... on the other hand there have been a lot of things I had to take care of and which make my mind go mad so often... I think you know this situations and so I give you some music which will help your mind calm down ;-)
And after your mind is calmed down, I want to show you something which nearly broke my heart some days ago... you perhaps remember the Pegaso Murmillo I was painting for quite some time... well, I took the final steps finishing him with oil and afterwards put him in the oven to dry the colour... unfortunatly the material was somehow damaged by the foregoing times in the heat...
The miniature broke just above the feet and the upper part fell down... because the oven´s ground is a lot hotter then the air it melted of course...
Sometime you just have bad luck...
So here my advice: if you use oil, don´t put the miniature in the oven too often...
some days ago i visited a very nice art exhebition called Stroke Artfair.
The exhebition was a very pleasing event and my brain got filled with inspiration again, if you have the chance to visit the event, go for it!
Anyway, there is a pretty cool music sampler they offer for free:
You can find the free download -here-
On the snowy road to a Painting Class in Austria/Graz... we will be fighting our way through high risks, fighting the winter glory and horrors with pure fire in our hearts and i guess most of the time we will be stuck in a holdup somewhere in nowwhere mountain land... meanwhile feel invited to listen to this music and imagine Raffa and me in a deep blizzard running from a bunch of Polar Bears - thanks for this epic music inspiration by Andrea aka MXP:
You won't believe me, Raffa is at my house, dancing naked only dressed with a banana... oh no it is not a banana he just used his yellow colour. As he has to work tomorrow like a normal guy he decided he keeps his birthday calmed with some relaxed painting like every monday night - Tuesday night, i mean after the time were we did explore the palace of sleep, there will be a strip club visit - no i am just kidding, but who knows... Here comes Raffa's birthday wish song...
The muse is back on my neck whispering in my ear... thanks to Piotr who showed me this great and awesome motivational video:
I've been waiting for this moment all my life... today i had a brilliant idea and Piotr's video recommandation is a sign by the gods to execute it! Thanks brush brother :)
I hope you enjoy it too
- for sure only if you like chilling Hip Hop and fine lyrics!
