Ehhm, what's to say..
I think, I let the pictures speak for me, I tried to paint the skin more interesting, with many fine lines with separate lightning. But there is so much more to do at the skin. Just thought this might be a little inspiration for anybody. You have to look the new miniatures from Yellow One he paints many separate freehands and many different contrast lines.. to get more focus on the mini. Or I don't know how to explain it else.. I just try it out :)
You can click on the picture, to see it big :)
He's all wrinkly! I love it!
I think thats a really cool effect!
WOW...I..I hate you ;-)) just kiding, looks really great so far. So the figure doesn´t have any structure on the skin, it´s all paintetd right? *börks*...
Hello Honourguard,
skin looks fantastic!! I am excited to see for finished result!
Regards @Daddy Cool
That looks really intresting, i am doing such stuff for clothing and leather material. I know you love to do those ultra mini small things and they look damn cool... but if you know start the skin with it too it might be a bit too much, haha - i mean leather, skin, clothes, etc. - i would use it to create some textures on the areas you like but not everywhere as there won't be a focus area left on the miniature...
i love the effect, but i really want to know how you achieved the nice highlight on each individual wrinkle. i dont know if its intended or not, i think it is, but it just looks amazing! the skin comes to life and has a texture that appears real.
Thanks for your answers. Some wrinkles are sculpted on his heels, but I added some more. I understand you Roman, but I think I can paint that, without losing my main focus point. I will finish it, with much freehand/texture work. On my Yodleur de Cascades it worked well, too. If the final effect is good, I will write how I done it, in details...
so.. my break is over :P
I have full faith in you, Oli ... don't get me wrong :)
