The Last Light
by Roman aka jar
Before the big Massive Voodoo report about Monte San Savino will hit the jungle in the upcoming days I have to finish what should have been finished long before. This is the final post about this diorama which means I can close that case now, finally.

The work on this diorama took my summer 2013 away.
Three months of work, over 450 hours, 127 figures and a story about hope being told here. In the end I was happy to win Gold in Games Day Germany diorama category and the german Slayer Sword.

Could watch the video all day long in an infinite loop!!!!
It's really a masterpiece.
Greetings from Hamburg
An amazing work of art!
Astounding. The composition is nothing short of genius. Congratulations on a well deserved win.
Amazing ... nothing more can be said...
Like an image ripped from my mind or the pages of a Space Marines novel and made real!
To Monte San Savino I had the pleasure of seeing him live and it is a true work of art.

Simply amazing..(deep breath)
I am speechless, really speechless.. I did not see it in real life, but watching this clip just made me feel the drama, epicness, heroïsm, and brutality in this story!
Crazy. Roman, you are simply crazy. :)
And I still think the Angel will survive…fighting on an on and on… as I like to watch this video.
I love the piece. Absolutely astonishing. I did not think so much drama could be conveyed through miniature dioramas.
I love your choice of colous too. I am currently refurbishing a box of Space Crusade (The German StarQuest from my childhood actually) and am looking to your Blood Angels and Tyranids for inspiration as they fit very well with the palette I have in mind for the game.
Nice.
The link for part 2 leads to part 3 :)
Thanks for all your comments ...
I am more than happy that you like the work behind it and the final result!
Thank you very much for your kind words!

I changed that link! Thanks for your eagle eyes!
That is a magnificent piece. I greatly admire the scope, effort and execution of each part of it. That slayer sword was very well earned. :D
