Happy that you like it and see the wood. I go with Mario so far, as I am not well pleased about the wooden look, there is still a way to go.

I did paint a basic pretty bright basic colour of bleached bone and bestial brown mix, washed it with Citadel Ink Gryphone Sepia, after this was dry I have used Bleached Bone to add tiny scratches at the edges. After this I did use Van Dyk Brown and Burnt Umber to bring in the oil and make bright and dark areas of the browns, on some places I have left the acrylic work. I have used a toothpick and added some scratches into the oil layers ... to get the lower ones free again. Hope that helped!
