Hey everyone,
yeeeeees, i'm still alive :)
As love pierced into my heart i really didn't have much of my mind free for painting in the last time...
And when i had time i mostly painted on two Blood Angels tanks for part of a commission that was part of my army sale ;)
But after such a great weekend with Ben and Matt i feel like i have to shout a little bit into the jungle :)
First thing i want to show you are the two Blood Angels tanks, a Rhino and a Baal:
Those two are almost finished and will serve good on the gaming table :)
Next up is a small side project i painted at the painting class with Ben & Matt....
It was late at night and i needed a break from my Marine so i painted this Skaven Plague Monk:
And here is the result of the painting class... i really concentrated on painting... matt was telling me i was going into 'Autismmode' ;)
This is a conversion based on a Death Company Space Marine.... it was a really fun project :)
As i already got the question about the used colors:
I wanted to create some kind of plague doctor mask stlyed helmet... it's a bit short but the Green Stuff was somehow old and hard to handle....
Anyway, for a weekend of work i'm pretty happy with it :)
Last but not least, a little WiP shot of the base for Olis Miniature Exchange Project:
On a website i saw pictures of the city of Pripjat... it was a big inspiration :)
Soooo, you'll hear from me sooooon :)

Nurgle Plague Monk
This is a conversion based on a Death Company Space Marine.... it was a really fun project :)
As i already got the question about the used colors:
The Basic color was a mix of 1/5 camo green, 2/5 Catachan Green, 2/5, Bleached Bone
I the highlighted by Adding more Bleached Bone to the mix and the shadows were painted using Dark Sea Blue from Vallejo.
After this i added Tank Brown from Vallejo to the Shadows and to the rusty places.
I used Ivory from Vallejo for the brightest highlights.
After this i glazed Scorpion Green into the mid-highlights, Yellow into the highlights and snot green into the midtones to give the armor the bright green it has.
Then i used ivory again to put on some small highlights into the yellow glazed places.
The plague spots were painted with hawk turquoise.
The scratches were painted with 1/2 scorched brown 1/2 chaos black. The conversion was done mostly with green stuff and bits.
For the rust i used Vermin Brown and highlighted this with bleached bone.
For some edges i used a pencil to add a metallic gloss.
After all i used rust colored pigments to some places.
I wanted to create some kind of plague doctor mask stlyed helmet... it's a bit short but the Green Stuff was somehow old and hard to handle....
Anyway, for a weekend of work i'm pretty happy with it :)

Love the Pred and the Rhino, Raffa! That Plague Marine and diorama is amazing. Congratulations on the love thing.
Fantastic works, i really love the plague marine. Doing this in only 1 week-end... OMG!

great stuff man! some people would contribute that to the golden demon what youve created on one weekend! - exhausting.
Love causes the paint in your veins to flow faster but it's still paint as it seems.
Amazing paint jobs as usual!

It is such a good feeling to see these tanks finished... i think for you too - they turned out great! The Nurgle guy is simply outrageous nurglish, damn cool! The base for Oli looks really sweet so far... can't wait to see it in colour... Rock on buddy - why can't you love 2 things at once? A woman and your painting^^
Yes!, very god work. I love the nurglish effect.
That kind of green tones works very well with the orange-brown of the rust.
Kind regards
Kambey.
Thats amazing, the paintjob on the nurgle marine is really great. And you painted it at one weekend, wow. Nothing else to say :D
P.s forget women. I felt in love with the base you make for me ;D
Hello what is the gate and pillar of bricks come from?
Hello Picster!
Your last space marine nurgle is really superb, I am in love!!
Can you say to me how have you paint the base and the intestines?
Can you say to me how you carried out the liquid which leaves the base?
Here are thank you I love your work !
I will make a version terminator of it;)
Julien-ultra
Awesome!
I'm not so surprised with your nurgle marine (we already know what a great painter you are) but with the fact that you can make such a wonderful thing in just one weekend!
It's nice to hear from you again anyhow ^^
Ace work there!
Cheers for sharing
The Nurgle marine is simply awesome. The weathering is very believable and the painting is technically good and precise. This and the atmosphere you managed to create make it an outstanding model.
Thumbs up and waiting for more such excellent models!

Chest of Colors: All About Miniature Painting
Love the idea for Plague Doctor Marine - hope you don't mind if I nick the idea for a couple of Nurgle Marines I'm planning to paint...
As for the paint job (and the base) - simply out of this world!
I love the vehicles as well - can you give some info on how you acieved that rich yet dirty red?
