Faun - Nature Spirit
by Roman aka jar
Aloa Jungle Painters,
while the world is burning in summer heat, I am able to still make some time at the painting table.
Recently I finished a small bust by Origin-Art. She is called "Faun" and I did some small conversions to her with leaves, flowers, branches and stuff.
At the moment I am not aiming at something while I paint. I am learning to feel my personal approach and way of painting again after a little break and some external influances of other painters. My aim right now is just to paint and that's what I'll do.
Cheerio and keep on happy painting!

I do hope you like her as I enjoyed her while painting her. She is standing on a small and thin root plinth that I sanded and oiled. Thought this one is really fitting. During the progress I have made some photos with my mobile camera (sorry for the crappy quality), but I wasn't able to do as much to write a little article about it. Well, here they are without any further words:
Well, this lead to the final version you can see above. If you like her, please feel invited to vote and comment on Putty&Paint or CMON.

you people are killing me :) I looks too good.
I was thinking about painting a second one of this bust but this one is much better and now I don't have the courage to even order the second one.

Wow that is a great take on the faun, I painted her a while back but never got the right feel so it looks kinda crappy.
I really like how you did the nature parts of her. Also, from what I can see, I'm eager to see your take on Narok, it's one of my favorite miniatures.
Wow...Luxurious paint. Beautiful fine wood tones. Amazing:)

Very nice.

Pretty nice. I like those in betwenn handy cam WIP shots. There is not always need for high resolution pics in my opinion. I own that bust too and I'm always thinking about takeing a walk throug the wood to gain some inspiration for that one. Maybe I just have to do it.
