 Hey Jungle!

Half-naked dwarfs with orange hair do not mean any good for the roaming beasts. Painted up this #fireslayer by #gamesworkshop during my recent Skintone & Faces Masterclass for explanation purposes. Really happy how this turned out! Hope you like him!

 Hey Jungle,

by far not an easy project: painting dark skintones is really not easy. To be honest painting this as a first project after a long time break from painting (earlier this year) was quite the challenge. Really great bust by @ouroborosminiatures and I am happy to call it finished. Hope you like it!

Bust is sold and in private collection.

 Hyho Jungle!

Time for another finished Games Workshop miniature from my hands. This time a fierce Bloodbowl referee! Even I do not play Blood Bowl it is sometimes fun to paint something up! Hope you like him!

All about that base!
The base was a fun and quick build using cork flour and superglue, while it dried I used the wooden end of a brush to push the earthy area in. Quite simple, easy and effective. Then I painted it in the colors you can see here!

This miniature are for sale!
Check my PDF cataloge for more information!

Review: Private Coaching with Elmar

by Roman aka jar

Good Morning, Jungle!
Today I would like to review a two day private coaching with Elmar.
Elmar paints miniatures since one year now and wanted to learn more about zenital light, atmospheric painting, planning color choices, technical improvement and an overall personal level up in his painting. So I helped him in creating a tep day lesson from a mixture of my Beginner and Advanced class. It was beautiful to see the new knowledge melted together in your demo-nette. Thank you, Elmar!

This is what Elmar said about his coaching:

"I really enjoyed the time with you. I have not only learned a lot from you, but have rediscovered the pure joy of carefree painting through you. Instead of always wanting to get better. So the time was a joy. 'Have fun and learn' it doesn't get any better * lol *

Thank you very much for your patience, your motivation and the great conversations. I will definitely keep you updated. And we will definitely see each other again :-) "

- Elmar

- Elmar

Keep on happy painting, Elmar!
Yours,
Roman

FM: OSL Study Miniatures

by Roman aka jar

Hey Jungle,

during my private coaching and OSL workshop I painted some miniatures for explanation purpose.
I call them study pieces and this is what they are. They are always fun to explain the principles of Object Source light:

A guide that introduces Light that comes from a source nearby the miniature.

Raffa explains how to use really glowing pigment powder.

Inspiration: OSL
A collection to get inspired.

There are two study stages on this.
First one is to understand how to setup and plan OSL:

Second one is to learn how to include it in a full colored miniature:

All of these study pieces are for sale
for a decent coin. If you want to learn from an original piece by my brush do not hesitate to make one of these yours via: https://www.romanlappat.com/for-sale

I even made a video of them, 360°, 4k resolution - enjoy!

Keep on happy painting!
Best Wishes,
Roman
