We are soon on the road back from Austria - we had a really relaxed Painting Class with beautiful people taking part and enjoying happy Painting Moments together... soon there will be more about this :)
I finished this miniature last night. I tried out my new Rackham colours, Jester Pigments and new ideas for the base... I didn't invest that much time in painting like usually, but I hope someone likes the mini anyhow :P
P.S. the slime is green not white, like it looks on the pictures..

kennt ihr diese Wochen in denen man figurentechnisch gar nichts auf die Reihe bekommt? Diese Tage an denen man dennoch zum Pinsel greift um irgendwie rumzumalen, obwohl es nicht von Herzen kommt? Ihr braucht eine Pause von der typischen 08/15 Figur aber wollt das Hobby dabei nicht aus den Augen lassen? Hier kommt eure Chance etwas Großartiges zu machen und dabei viel Spaß zu haben, vor allem aber das Maltief überwinden mit etwas komplett anderem:
ERKLÄRUNG/VORWORT
Denkt euch in die ferne Zukunft. Die Natur ist schon lange zerstört, damals in der finalen Stunde des Planeten. Die Erde wird sterben so viel ist klar nach diesen Tagen der nuklearen Vernichtung, es ist nur eine Frage der Zeit wann es soweit sein wird. Du bist in diese Zeit geboren, aufgewachsen und zum Held für die Menschen geworden und alles was Du hast ist ein Auto mit Power.Du bretterst durch die kahlen Wüsten, der Aschewolkenhimmel über Dir und nichts als Freiheit - YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
Meine Frage ist nun:
Wie würde dein persönliches Fahrzeugh/Auto/Motorrad in dieser Zeit aussehen?
Baue und bemale dein post-apokalyptisches Wunsch-Fahrzeug! Gib dem Auto/Motorrad deinen Charakter und deine ganz persönliche Note - bist Du eher der Abenteurertyp? Der Krieger? Der Doktor? Der Imbissbudenbesitzer? Der Familientyp? Eine Lady? Ein Punker? Ein Bandit?
Wenn Du wirklich keine Ahnung hast von was ich spreche, empfehle ich einen kleinen Blick hinter folgende Links, zum einen die wunderbaren Mad Max Filme:
Wählt ein Modelautobausatz in den Maßstäben 1:48, 1:35, 1:24 aus und macht daraus eure postapokalyptische Schrottkarre, euer Mad Max Auto - einen Freund der euch in Not das Leben rettet. Den Charakter eures Autos könnt ihr schon bei der Modellwahl stark beeinflussen, zum Beispiel 1, 2, 3, 4 und 5 und 6 und 7 :)
Diese Modellbausätze sind nicht besonders teuer,aber mit eurem Umbau wird dieser Wagen zu etwas Einzigartigem und jedem Betrachter klar wird wo die Pferdestärken liegen. Als Beispiel: Dieses Auto kostet 14,16 € im Maßstab 1:24. Ich werde nun einige Links posten, die zu Modellbauläden führen, falls jemand keinen bei sich um die Ecke hat:
Weitere wird es nicht geben. Ihr findet sicherlich leicht das was ihr sucht sobald der Freund Google aktiviert wurde. Manchmal lohnt es sich auch auf ebay zu sehen um mit etwas Glück ein Schnäppchen zu schlagen.
REGELN
Was es zu tun gibt
- Bau und bemale dein eigenes, persönliches Mad Max Auto oder Motorrad!
- Maßstab 1:48, 1:35, 1:24, macht euch nicht zuviele Gedanken über die geforderten Maßstäbe. Bleibt einfach so nah wie möglich an den geforderten Maßstäben.
- Keine Base erforderlich, kann aber gebaut werden.
- Jeder außer mir darf mitmachen. Sollte jemand aus dem Team von MV mitmachen möchten so darf er keine WIPs zeigen. Es geht hier in erster Linie um Spaß und Motivation, so soll niemand ausgegrenzt werden.
- Mach was immer Du willst mit deinem Auto - wild oder eher ruhiger! Nutze alle Teile die Du möchtest - keine Beschränkungen!
- Mach ein Foto deines fertig umgebauten und bemalten Autos und sende es an
jarhead ---at---massivevoodoo---dot---com
mit dem Betreff "Mad Max - *Name eures Beitrages* (Du musst deinem Auto einen Namen geben, dieser ist wichtig bzgl. der Jurybewertung) - Emails ohne diesen Betreff oder Fahrzeuge ohne Namen werden vom Wettbewerb ausgeschlossen. Mind. 3 verschiedene Ansichten eures Wagens. Die Größe der Bilddatei bleibt euch überlassen, aber sollte in einem normalen Rahmen für die Internetverwendung liegen. Bitte schreibe in deine Email gleich deinen Namen und deine Adresse, so ist es für mich am Ende leichter die Gewinner zu benachrichtigen und alles weitere in die Wege zu leiten.
Was nicht gewünscht ist
- Es sollten keine Figuren (menschliche Personen) gezeigt werden, nur ein Auto, bei dem man sieht, dass es von einem Menschen genutzt wird - und zwar DIR. Kleine Tierfiguren, z. B. für das Base sind aber möglich.
- Keine Kriegsmaschinen, wie Panzer, keine super ultra Kampfroboter auf eurem Auto, keine unnötige Gewalt durch viel zu große Waffen, kein Schaden, kein Schmerz, kein Hass, nur Spaß und Pferdestärken :) - das Anbringen von Handfeuerwaffen am Auto bzgl. Transport ist aber möglich, z. B. eine Schrotflinte die im Kofferraum liegt.
- Euer Basismodell soll ein Auto/KFZ sein, kein GW Ork Panzer oder Eldar Jetbike.

Der erste Preis wird mein eigener, umgebauter und bemalter "RENEGADE", ein 1:35 MAD MAX Humvey auf Vitrinensockel sein (Sockel by Sockelmacher.de), ein wirklich einzigartiger Preis und ein echtes Prachtstück in eurer Vitrine. Das Auto mit dem ich gerne in solch einer post-nuklearen Zone umeinandabrettern möchte. Der Versand wird ebenso von mir übernommen. Die Jury besteht diesmal nur aus mir.
Ich sammle eure Beiträge, erstelle eine große Gallerie der Einsendungen und wähle dann meine Favoriten aus. Das klingt komisch ist aber simpel, effektiv und zielgenau im Abschluss. Vielmehr geht es mir darum, dass jeder der möchte Spaß haben soll mit dieser Idee des Wettbewerbs, einfach mitmachen und das soll jeder dürfen. Am Ende müsst ihr mir da einfach vertrauen und im schlimmsten Fall gibt es auch nur eine Person auf die ihr sauer sein dürft wenn euer Auto nicht mit genügend Charme und Pferdestärken aufwarten konnte.

Many friends ask me... which colors use for painting the face?
Today in commerce you can already find a crowd of colors ready to paint the skin, but with few colors all the tonalities can be reproduced. This is a small introduction because I want to try to illustrate as I have painted this bust in 120mm...
Louis IX King of France
Originally this figure was a 120mm (a whole figura), produced from AMATI to the beginnings of the years 90. Really, this is "VINTAGE" :D.

The low part of the figure in 120mm ( legs ,etc..) I have discarded her, the sculpture is not to the high-level of the modern pieces anymore.... but for personal challenge I have left the tall part (chest, face and arm) as in the original one without bringing changes.
Step one.... primer!
Paint the visage.... I use only 3 colors for my base and to begin lights and shades.
Red, uniform English and Sunny Skintone of the ModelColors Valleyo.

As you can see with these three colors mixed in different quantities, I found many tonalities for different tones of complexion.
In the example for the "base" of this bust I have used around 50% of SunnySkintone, 25% of red and 25% of Uniform English. For the lights I simply add Sunny Skintone, for the shades red + uniform English.
In this way you can paint with good gradations of tones by the light toward the shade.
Now, it will need to add other colors to end our visage..
oh damn....I have necessity to experiment in this period.... : D
I have tried to paint this bust with alternative acrylic colors, they are not those traditional to paint the miniatures...
The colors are by Ferrario... APA colors
2 words on these colors... The colors are in jars of glass.... you can mix with others acrylics.. and they are easy to be blend. In the glass jars they are as a cream and you can dilute them in water.
I really think that is impossible painting one miniature only with these colors, because their disadvantage is that they are a little covering. However I can exploit their transparency to create tones, lights and shade on the base that I have previously painted with the ModelColors Valleyo. The time of drying is similar to the others acrylic. The finish is excellent and the thin pigment, not comparable to the acrylic ones that traditionally I use. The colors Apa by Ferrario are easily found in Italy... I am sorry but I don't know out of my country.
Recapitulating...
I have painted my base (and the first lights and shades) with the ModelColorsValleyo with the three colors described above... and I have finished up tones, lights and shades with Apa colors.
