Hello jungle,
Sebastian here with a slightly belated workshop review. This time from Marc Masclans Painting Workshop. Organized by Nekropainter. Awesome guy. This time the course took place in Nuremberg on the premises of Ultra Comix and was held in English. What better way to imagine things than coloring characters in a comic book store?! It should also be mentioned here that Ultra Comix doesn't just sell only comics. He also stocks a large range of merchandise and minis and tabletop. Anyone who is ever in Nuremberg should definitely visit this shop.
The workshop figure was the Fighter and was already primed black. If you wanted, you could still prime the bust in 2K. The start was first of all theory, what the procedure is and it's best to get inspiration first. Now our Google-Fu was asked and in the end everyone found what they were looking for.
The first brushstroke followed. Here you could either look directly over Marc's shoulders or follow it on the projector. Marc showed his procedure step by step and explained the entire process in an understandable way at all times. Then it was our turn. The frequency with which Marc carried out his inspections was very good, and the time for feedback was also very generous so that questions could be clarified straight away. A lot was discussed and shown. Starting with the skin, through material science to NMM. Everything was explained in an understandable way.The whole workshop package is recommended and anyone who has the opportunity to attend one of Marc's workshops should take advantage of it.
Happy painting!
Sebastian
