Make more girls and ladies paint figures!
Why? Well, believe me or not they are doing damn good at it and have a special taste in color and a feeling for harmony in what ever they do, somehow. Hard to explain with the ladies.
... but so far from teaching many seminars all over the world I learnt this lesson: Ladies are doing great at figure painting. Of course everyone has to train his skills and make them grow, but most of the girls I meet in this community truely rock it with a natural skill. It's all about confidence with painters, male or female. Make more girls paint and support them in their development!
Keep on happy painting!

Mars needs more women!
I said this a while ago, the women folk seem to naturally shine with this hobby or have an easier time with the creative aspects than us fellas. Ours comes later with maturity and experience, but theirs seems to be innate - so unfair! Now to turn my frustration into beautiful art...
Zab - I think we men are socialized to suppress a lot of creativity... especially anything "soft" or "feminine", which is a huge sphere of creative expression. We're taught that silliness and whimsy are un-manly or worse. Don't paint in certain colours, or certain subjects. Women are (at least currently) more able to adopt "manly" styles without criticism than the inverse.
Obviously, this is ridiculous and I encourage everyone to reject it.
Agreee totally.

Yes, it is true. While I (as a male) have no problem painting exactly to the micro-milimeter, I still lack the understanding for unique and interesting colour patterns. I guess the dames are way better at this right from the start.
I don't think painting is a gender specific skill. People can paint, some people can paint better than other people.
Absolutely what you said @unknown still i think ladies have a different feeling for colors than most men I know. Just my perspective.
