Allan Carrasco's Rhinotaure painted as the Rhino king.
You find bigger photos here in the jungle, those on CMON are a bit smaller as they had to fit into the upload limitation. Hope you like him. You can find an article about the Tribal Scarification here!
The animals I used are from Mantis Miniatures and from Busch's small animal set.
Thanks for all the support during the project via your comments in the jungle.
I am happy about every comment dropping in so don't hesitate - many thanks in advance! Let me know what you think about it.
Keep on happy painting!
Best Wishes
Roman
PS: PS: This figure is not for Sale - it was painted as a gift to one of my best friends, muhani aka Robert.

This is a masterpiece! Incredible embodiment of your genius! Breathtaking detail.
It is with great interest the process. Great start of a new week! :) Thank you!
This is a real masterpiece. I love the small sign on the socket with the analogy to the king of lion. You proof very well that you need only one picture to explain a whole scenery.
YOu can be very proud of yourself with the power of endurance you had with that piece of art. It´s wonderful you see, that you not only had the power to finish it but also to keep you hight painting standards til the end of the painiting. Very inspiring.
What I love at the miniature is the skin:
Not only that great colout-tone, but also the story it is telling with all the tribals and small scars.
The ornamnets give the miniature even more some history, but also are adding a wonderful colour-tone to the miniature.
But what I can´t stop looking at are the eyes.
They show so much attitude. In real you couldn´t look long into the eyes, because you would be starred down in a very short time.
Like two boxers starring at each other, but at your miniature it isn´t just a showing off.
He doesn´t look like as he is looking happily forward to get into a fight like a bully. If he would a bully and fighting for fun, his weapon would be much more decorated to show everybody, what cool fighter he is.
Its more a total clear message like if you leave me and my small crew alone, nothing will happen to you. If not, feel the consequences of the beast in charge here ;-)
Ok, so much words, I hope anybody understands what I mean :-)
It`s just my personel interpretation of that figure, so I have somtimes difficult to find the real words especially in english
Ciao

Superb! Will you bring him to Painting Crusade this weekend? Looking forward to it!

Its a gift for a friend, please let me be your friend ;-) for me it is my favourite mini from you
" Dude, these are my homies! GTFO or I will smash this piece of wood into your face! "
a whole story in just 1 picture, perfect.
Wow, just wow! A wonderful miniature. I love the mood and the atmosphere of this piece of art. You achieved it to tell a little story on this small base and you are telling it with master skills in painting. Great work and a great gift!
Best regards
Dhark
I think you did THE version of this Rhino.
The Allan sculpt is fantastic, you transcend and magnify it. You found the way to tell your story.
Perfect.
Now, it will be very difficult to paint this Rhino after you (and I have one at home!) :)
