Hello Jungle,
Kilian here and I am about to write my first review of my first very own workshop.
Exciting!
From April 29th to May 1st I had the pleasure and honor to welcome 10 guys and gals for my very first workshop. I was very nervous and so I have to appologize because I took almost no pictures during the class.
As all of you know I am not a pro painter. I have not attended, nor do I have any ambitions to participate in any competitions. Due to various feedback from friends and most importantly Roman I decided, that I wanted to accompany other people on their journey and share my knowledge.
A massive THANK YOU to everyone who signed up! I know trusting and wanting to learn from a "nobody" is hard.
I decided to offer the base building part of the workshop separately. Luckily a lot of guys took that opportunity. Base building is one of my favourite parts in mini painting since I love creating a backstory. I think the results speak for themselves. It was so amazing to see other people create their own vision and totally individual settings for their miniatures.
On Saturday everyone finally came together to build and prime their Space Marine and start painting. Saturday was also the theory day. I have to say, that the workshop was scheduled like Romans Beginner workshops are. I chose a different mini to paint because I wanted to bring in my own flavour. Also I can't and I don't want to copy Romans class.
It was a pleasure do see, how open minded all my students were and how they followed my advice. It is pure joy to help people in their journey and push them over the edge of their well established comfort zone. I had great fun this weekend and I received very positive feedback, thanks for that! I will let the end results speak for themselves now, but if you are also interested in my classes, I am planning to offer one in the fall.
Happy painting,
Kilian
