Painted this guy up in the late year of 2009. Thought about collecting an army again and i love to fail in that task. I just can't get the motivation for it. I slowly accept that i am not the guy in collecting a lot of equal painted miniatures, haha. No i have accepted this a while ago. So i have failed again, like everyone thought and said...
This is how my gaming army should have looked like... also linked to CMON:
I think even it is a gaming miniature you see this light thing from above i am talking about all the time very well in that example.
Hope you like him!
Keep on happy painting!
Regards
Roman
ohh noooooooooooo!!! I think we had to talk about it at the modelling workshop. I can´t accept
ReplyDeletethat ;-)

Spooky, i ask a question about gaming style miniatures and then you reveal this! Really has the atmosphere that works so well on space marines, was the battle damage done using paint or pigments or both?
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff
Carl
hey! I think I know where the inspiration from that shoulder pad comes from XD
ReplyDeletewonderful. would love to know how you did it. i just finished using your ork skin tutorial and it worked wonders for my first ork boy.
ReplyDeleteAn army painted in that style would take ages... but it would be sooooo nice!

You must see, that also gaming miniatures can be done very well, this one for example should have been one of my own gaming miniatures, for myself, so there for sure i went a step further then usual, simply Space Cowboy Style :)
The battle damage has done with the brush, a toothbrush, a sponge and pigments in the lower parts to make them dusty, rust has been done with thinned vermin brown, which looks pretty cool on yellow, so i guess both :)
@Rafael
For sure! Volomir's fantastic Space Marine had something equal i guess, for sure this great model gave me inspiration... sorry not to mention it :)
@Anonymous
"How i did it?" Being true i have to say that i don't have the time at the moment to make this in Tutorial form. I will paint up an Imperial Fist for sure again and here i promise you to show it in Tutorial Form. A lit busy lately as on Friday this week is a another Painting class... still got a lot to do about it :)
@Thomas Stoesser
So i would have been able to say "Finished!" on 49 birthday, huh? Nope, haha.
