Hello Jungle,

Sebastian here with another Community Friday. This time I'd like to introduce you to alexipaints from Sydney. I found him by chance on Instagram, and his painted minis are fantastic. You can also find more of his work on Putty and Paint. He also has his own Twitch channel and YouTube channel. Let´s take a look...

MU#113: Midguard Miniatures Duel Adela vs Thurs

Hello jungle,

Sebastian here, with another cracking miniature unpacking. This time a duel secene printed by Midguard Miniatures. Included are two hole printed 75mm miniatures and a base with a backdrop. I bought the minis at the Bembel Miniature Cup

Upon opening the box, the first thing I encountered was a ton of bubble wrap.

Accordingly, nothing was broken. After sorting, I did the first glue-free assembly test, and what can I say? "WOW!" The parts fit together perfectly. What's more, Midguard completely removed all the supports and cleaned the joints so thoroughly that you don't have to waste any time preparing the minis. You can simply glue the minis together out of the box. You find something like that very, very rare.

The first mini is "Thurs the Troll." A massive badass sci-fi troll.

The second mini is "Adela the Valkyrie".

The base is made of wood and already primed black.

And here everything together.

Midguard Miniatures is a remarkable 3D printing shop like no other. You can shop here with confidence and be delighted with the miniatures and their precision fit.

That wasn't the last time I bought something there.

See you next time,
Sebastian

Community Friday: Ocarina

Sebastian here, today I'd like to introduce something new that's been close to my heart for a while: The Community Day. The first part is about introducing people in the hobby and what they do. By that, I don't mean the ones everyone already knows, but the ones not everyone knows. It doesn't matter whether the person paints miniatures or is a miniature sculptor. The second part of Community Day will be me showing only pictures of finished minis from the community. Simply because they were painted well, but they don't get the attention they deserve, due to the fact that the painter isn't that well known.

I'd like to start with Ocarina. A miniature painter who's been around for a while in the hobby, but I only met her for the first time a few years ago. She´s a miniature painter based in Germany.  Her development since then has been enormous, and I think her finished minis are simply beautiful to look at.

Here's just a small selection of what she's painted. You can find more pictures of the finished minis on her Instagram. If you like it, you can follow her.

Keep on happy painting!

MU #112: Half Cat Miniatures: Wizard of the Forest

Sebastian here, for unpacking another figure,

This time with the Wizard of the Forest bust from Half Cat Miniatures.

The mini has 14 parts in 1/12 scale and was modeled by Guillermo Miranda. The bust is limited to 150 pieces and can only be purchased as a pre-order for comission production. The bust cost 51,60pound + shipping.

The bust comes in a simple packaging with a magnet. But I think the simple design suits the mini well.

After opening the box, you first see a small card with an artwork and the limited edition number.

The larger parts of the bust are stored in a bag and the smaller parts in bubble wrap. Nothing is broken or damaged.

What's interesting is that there are small footprints on the bust so that you know where which animal has to be glued and in which position.

The fit is very good. Some gaps have to be closed as usual. The bust is a clear purchase recommendation.

Keep on happy painting!
