Review: Beginner Workshop Augsburg #romanws052022

Good Morning Jungle!
time for another review.

2022 seems a bit weird on preparing group workshops.
Not many will happen this year as I am fully booked with private coachings until the end of the year.

Well,
some weeks back I was happy to welcome 19 students who signed up for my Beginner Workshop.

Thanks to all of you for a beautiful happy painting weekend!
Thanks for all the help during the class and afterwards.Thank you for joining up for the class even in times of a pandemic and your joy to learn painting wisdom and philosophy :)

From far and close, first timers and repeaters ...
thank you for signing up!

The theory parts contain:

- Learn to see your world with different eyes
- Introduction into basing composition
- Learn how to feel harmony in different aspects
- Important contrasts for figure painting
- Explanation about how to paint a light situation on your figure
- Understand colour theory and learn how to use it properly
- Learn about different materials, their unique properties and learn to paint them
- Learn to lose fear of doing something wrong
- much more!

The classroom was all setup on Friday and I was ready to welcome the happy painting gang:

It was a pleasure to see my student's bases grow on Friday evening. After a bit of theory this was possible for everyone and everyone went with his unique idea and vision for his project.

When it comes to basing I got to thank the supporters of this class who made the class wonderful due their help in sponsoring some of their products, beside my own crazy material collection:

After some follow up theory on Saturday morning we were finally able to call it
PRIME TIME!

"Best regards and many thanks for the inspiring workshop, which felt like a marathon in the best sense of the word."

- Torbun

In between busy miniature painters should get up and do some sports ...

"It's been a week since the workshop and what can I say? In short: it was great. A great teacher, a great painting crew. I'm excited. It would have been just fine for me to have an hour or two less for the base and more for the demonette. Sunday afternoon went by so quickly with so many great topics. I would have liked to go deeper into that. The good thing about it: one more reason to take part in another workshop. :D

At least I'm very motivated now to put a little more time into the bases that I hate to have a nice overall picture.

A huge thank you for the great, educational weekend!"

- Kathrin

"During the workshop we had to build a complete diorama from scratch. And we had to include at least one animal. Based on this, Roman could explain tons of tricks and techniques for painting. The workshop was super intense, but ultra fun! Not only thanks to Romans great teaching skills and funny stories, but also thanks to all the other amazing participants^^"

- Rowena

"Great teacher and a super fun workshop with a cool group of people. Learned a ton and the time just flew by."

- David

When I see the unique results of the Beginner Workshop I am always amazed by its outcome for one weekend! So much happy painting joy in one place!

Thank you everyone for being a part of this wonderful weekend!

Keep on happy painting!

Best Wishes
Roman
