Reaper Bones - Smith

Aloa,

again it's me with one of my explanation figures during the private coaching with David we had early this week. This figure was done in about 3~4 hours of painting to explain a painting strategy on.
I was not really convinced of the quality of the cast of the plastic Reaper Bones, but hey it was a cheap figure and fun somehow. The nose was the thing that gaves me goose bumps all the time. While I am digging deeper into my own sculpting skills I always saw a dick-nose here, but well it happens in nature too, doesn't it?

Smith
Reaper Bones, 28 mm

Keep on happy painting!
Best Wishes

  1. 3-4 hours? How is that even possible? Are you a wizard?

  2. Yeah, I am a motherfu$4/& sorcerer ...

No, I am not. It is just experience about light situation, brush control, colour choices and material studies ... Doing Miniature Painting since 8 years now for a living and spenting a lot of days of my year at the workbench with minimum 8 hours a day. So it is practice and training to achieve this in this time amount, no sorcery ...
