Wu Ming rising in St. Quentin

posted by roman, jarhead, kong

Hi.

Every year at the Painting Crusade there is a special figure handed out to the participants of the contest. They are always cool and innovative and are pure fun to paint. I did so again with last year's figure and again it will be a gift to a friend who offers great hospitality during the weekend in Brussels. It is nothing special when it comes to painting, but it was a lot of fun creating it ...

St. Quentin
Painting Crusade IX figure, 28 mm

Also, another figure passed the table. Yu Jing rising!! - A Wu Ming soldier let's my gaming party grow in manpower. Really like to paint those quick ones for gaming. Can't wait to find some time to do more. Yu Jing rising!

Keep on happy painting!
Best Wishes

  1. That's also what I thought about last year's figure: it's almost a blank canvas which allows much room for creativity. I am sure Quentin will be very happy with this figure :) see you in a couple of weeks! Gerrie aka Corvus

  2. St. Quentin, sounds like you have been listening to Jonny Cash while painting him

  3. love these guys, any chance you might do a tutorial on the ST Quentin style base in the future? I am curious on how you get all of those colors mixed on there, it is such an awesome effect.

  4. FYI: It's "San Quentin" not "St. Quentin"—assuming you mean the prison. Same thing of course, just Spanish rather than English.
