IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
I recieved some entries to the category "diorama" who are in fact more single figures than dioramas. We did say dioramas, duels, big monsters, vehicles and units. Single Figures not. So we made a decision. They will be judged in this category but they are not allowed to take part in the random prize pool to keep it fair to others who made a display of single figures or a diorama entry that we asked for ...
Next step for us is doing the lottery of the random prize pool and I got bad and good news about this task. First the bad news: I won't make it this week. We just got home from Brussels and will head out for a painting class on Friday again. Additional to this fact I am having a cold that makes me weak and I got to get well before the class weekend. So I got to ask for your patience in this case!

Hi there! I feel very sorry and it makes me sad to read the Judging deceision in the Category Diorama because you gave your "OK"!? I dont think its fair. If you said this directly after watching the sent Pictures its understandable. Maybe some Competitors would have sent them with two other Projects in an other Category just to be part of this really amazing Contest.
ReplyDeleteIts a Contest where you dont have to be a pro or reach a Podium Finish to win something. Just be Creative, give your best and maybe with some luck you can also be a winner. A great motivation thing.
With a bit more clearer Communication this wouldnt have happen. I hope you understand what i mean that this makes me really sad.
I wish you a quick recovery and maybe you reconsider your Judging deceision.

no worries Roman, judging this will be hard... so many nice project... and "randomizing" stuff will be tricky and take time I am sure...

One quality of those who paint miniatures is patience .... then rested. :)

ReplyDeleteI got to say - in your case you are right. You have been the first person with such a project and I believed it would be the only one.
In the last days there were a lot of people entering the contest with single figures and I asked everybody to see a display entered. Some did. The other answers I did recieve were like: "This is my first miniature so far!" ... I suggested them they could enter in Diorama but as Diorama is not a single figure they won't have the best chances. I have to say I made the decision because I felt it unfair to others if many can take part with just one figur in the lottery ...
I did forget about the one "ok" that I gave to you. So this is my fault.
I will concentrate now on the upcoming class and will be back with more information about this next week ...
Fantastic entries in every category. I loved browsing the gallery - many familiar pieces from CMoN, but many new gems as well.
