Storyline goes on with the decision which won the vote:
C) Help the guy to find his family.

Three people, will gain a badge for their help and their inspiring comment, - we are using their ideas to bring the story further. Take a sheet of paper, note your badge if you got one (we do the same) - in the end the one with most of the badges will be the winner. Don't hesitate to comment, we still got  badges for 18 days to give away. The promoted ladies and gentleman for theis row are:

- Finality, for painting an arrow at the wall to see the area marked where Wruce came from!
- Alba, for trying to talk with Wruce so cute without that tooth and stop the bleeding
- CPS,  for not smoking one of Wruce's cigarettes and playing Zorro

The Story goes on ____________________________________________________

"Yaaaay! screams your mind after finding one living person. You actually remain silent. Your mouth hurts too much, and there's blood everywhere mixed with saliva. You can't barely talk to the guy... Mr. Billis without making a mess, you say to him:

I'm fso glad you didn't fsoot at me.

Your pronunciation is terrible. He looks at you waiting for your decision. You'll go with him. His little kid reminds you of one of m your old miniatures...Alyx was her name. Hope the cop's kid is also carrying a gun and a teddy bear. You really need to hug a teddy bear right now. And if you've gone so far to save your figure box you could as well make a little effort for someone elses's family. right? Plus he has a gun and looks badass.

You look around looking for something to stop my mouth from bleeding when Mr. Billis hands me a handkerchieff. And there is some alcohol (the farmacy one, sadly) in the store room. Enough to soak the cloth and be able to stop the bleeding, hopefully. We don't want to be bleeding around zombies, do we?

Looking at Wruce Billis. It seemed like he had been there for some time. After looking around and finding a telescopic aerial (which you loved as a kid, felt like Zorro wielding one of these), there was an uneasy tension between us. Wruce did not know what to make of you, and to be honest you didn't make the best impression. We both knew that the gunshot would bring more shuffling dead in our direction. In your panic, you also should've realised that he'd have told me about anything useful, wouldn't he?

As if he could read my thoughts, his eyes moved towards my bag.

"Whatcha got in there?" he said suspiciously. Still nervous, you showed him the contents. He picked out the bag with the tooth and said "I don't know who you  thought I was, but I certainly ain't the g**-d**n tooth fairy!" he chuckled to himself, and pulled a cigarette out of his pocket. You declined his offer, you needed all the air left in your tragically unfit lungs!

Equipment list (this list can grow and shrink during your journey)

- 1x Figure Transport box, damaged, Figures intact

Your bag containing:
- your colors, many
- 1x ziplock bag with zombie remains
- your last energy drink
- 1x flashlight
- 1x ziplock back with a tooth of yours
Friends:
- Police Officer, searching for his family
Weapons:
1x old Radio Antenna

That was the sort of thing Eduardo would say, and your thoughts were focused once more. You show the policeman your flashlight, but he says he knows the way to the next Metro. You know the name, but usually only pass through. He thinks his family might be along that way somewhere, so he is heading back. You are a strong believer of safety in numbers, so you check your bag, case and belt (you can't run if your pants are around your ankles) and follow him out the door, even if there's a voice at the back of my head saying "But you know there's zombies back there..."

You walk and walk behind Wruce. Time goes by, feels like an endless travel. This Police Officer really wants to find his family and it is hard for you to keep his pace, but wihtout further complications you both reach the next metro station. You find some dead and badly messed up corpses there, also some dead walkers. Also four dead soldiers, who might tried to evacuate people but all dead, you check their weapons but they are without ammounition. There has been a fight around that place. Scary. No sounds around, but you think you've heard something, something like a childs crying. It is not that far, must be somewhere around here. Suddenly from one dark corner you also hear some mourning and some scratching on the floor. You both take a closer look in that direction and find a ...

Wruce begins acting strange and you get the feeling as he might have known the person this zombie was before turning into that mess. The Zombie is getting closer but very, very slowly. What you do next?

A) Let Wruce handle the Zombie with his gun and investigate the crying child sound
B) Charge the Zombie yourself and kill it with your Antenna
C) Ask Wruce - because he acts so strange - if this Zombie was his wife maybe? (oh dear, no!)

Make your decision via comment now!!
(one person, one comment, we will count and the decision voted will arrive behind the next day's door).

Happy deciding!

  1. My feeling pushes to investigate the cry but something stops me. This crushed woman could be Wruce's wife and it wouldn't be advisable to let him face her on its own.

"Are you well? Do you knew her?"
    "Yes"

He sounds grave. After a moment, he reacts.

"Yes, she was Miranda, my patrol companion. She helped me to get here"

With an effort, he raises his gun. I stop him. I hate to do this, but the hard way is the must. I tend him the antenna.

"We'd better make no noise. I'll check the crying".

So option C) and then A).

  2. I talk to Mr. Billis: if the zombie is is someone you know closer, i´m shure she died before she turned into that zombie.. (i give him a cheery slap on his shoulders)
These Zombies may look like our family or friends... but they aren´t any more.
And Pls dont shoot.. maybe there are more of them.
its also better to make no noise so i take the Antenna and try to kill the Zombie. I also tell Mr. Billis he should head out for the crying child.

  3. "Wruce, snap out of it!' I whisper intently, horrified to see the grizzled veteran not reacting, 'whoever she was, she's dead now; you can't let your daughter down!'

    Option C

I notice that the sound of crying is mournful and close... why is the crawler coming towards us instead of heading towards the noise? Perhaps they're not attracted to noise.

Option A is out, because we've only got the one bullet, and shouldn't be wasting it on a slow-moving foe.

Option B is out, because there is nothing smart about getting between an armed cop and someone he loves, even if they're dead.

What we do next will depend on Wruce. If he can shake it off, then the two of us can move away from the slowly crawling corpse and figure out a way to dispatch it cleanly and quietly.

If Wruce remains shocked, I'll just have to sacrifice my jacket (survival over style) by throwing it over the Z's head... this will hopefully offer a little bit of protection, and make it easier for Wruce to do what has to be done... there's a child at stake! (alternatively, I suppose my belt could be used as a gag... but then there's the pants issue).

In the end, however, the apocalypse is a nasty place. If it comes to is, maybe Wruce and the walker will keep each other busy and I can get away... I wonder if he's stunned enough by the situation that I can make a grab for the gun. I know Mr Billis 'dies hard,' but a shellshocked cop who can't get the job done is more of a danger than a help.

Come on Wruce, it's time to face Armaggeddon, dig deep into your Fifth Element and get 12 Monkeys on this lady... I have a Sixth Sense that she'd rather you go the Whole Nine Yards on her than leave her as one of the living dead...

Hey wruce, whats going on mate?

No reaction, he seems transfixed, straining emptyeyed, almost like frozen in a dream.

So i have to do something. A zombie without legs, pulling itself onwards on the floor doesn´t look
    that dangerous to me.

Time to act like a hero!

I grab the antennae, scream like a madman and run to the zombie. i use the thick end of it headon and stick it trough the crawlers eyes into his brains.
to make sure it is really dead i repeat this a couple of times.
finally i give the dead body a kick in the side. "take this sucker!!!"

Then the revenge of the zombie is on me. i slip on the bloodwetfloor and lie next to my victim.
Wruce looks at me with a stern gaze, than starts to laugh.
What a weird situation, kind of angry i get myself up and tell him to stop laughing.

He gets back to business and we start to look for the child we heard just seconds before.

  5. i would run at the zombie with my antenna (option B) its like crawlers on call of duty, don't waste ammo i though to myself, i run and at the zombie and whip it mightifully until all movement has ceased.
I go back to the soldiers and pick up a gun, if a zombie crawler is like call of duty, maybe some max ammo's might drop out of the sky, i chuckled to myself. if nothing else it would make a good club.

  6. B)

i look to Wruce, but no reaction, i run to the Zombie to kill them fast, because its a easy kill, but whats wrong with Wruce, he punch me to the side, I look to him and say " Fucker whats wrong with you " ?
But no reaction, he stare the Zombies eyes, and after some seconds he say " dont kill my WIFE ".

I dont know what to do, but Wruce is confused he dont know is that his wife or a Monster.

Wruce goes slowly to his Zombie wife, he crabs his wife on the arm, looked her in the eyes and say " I will always love you " and

    BAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMBBB

Wruce kills his own wife with the last Bullet.

After a couple of minutes with silence, we hear again the childs crying, we see a door, maybe from there, we go to the door..........

  7. Option C
"What's the matter with you, do you know her?"
"Snap out of it man! Please dont make me slap you"

Pick up one of the soldiers rifles to use as a club.

"Listen, cant you hear that crying?"

  8. "Wruce? Wruce?"
I couldn't hit a cop could I? Not even when the law didn't really matter anymore. That heroic battle with the driver (must not forget to replace those brushes- without them my colours are all but useless) obviously changed something in me. The moaning half-zombie didn't even register as a threat. Must have spent too many weekends painting round Eduardo's with horror films on in the background.

    "Wruce?"

He was pointing his gun at the zombie, shaking like you after a session of energy drinks (note- do not paint eyes on models at this point). He wasn't moving, and you weren't going to touch him in case the gun went off and took out your figure case. It was zombie proof, but bulletproof? Too risky.

The next time you talk, there's a reply. Only it's not from your new buddy. It's not from the zombie either. To your left, where you heard that noise before, was it crying? It definitely sounded childlike. Could we manage a third member of our party? You're not sure, but your conscience tells you to have a look. You sure as hell aren't going alone into the darkness though, so you try one last time...

"Mr. Billis...shall we move? What's wrong? Do you know her or something?"
"Can't be...can't be..." he muttered to himself.
"We have to go. Now. No point wasting ammo (or your brand new 'rapier')."

You surprise yourself at taking charge over a police officer- maybe this apocalypse will make you the man your father always wanted you to be, despite your claims that being an artist is more than manly enough.

The crying sound gets louder as you get closer, and then there is a sound of scratching behind a vent in the corner of the room...

(I tried posting before 12am German time but my browser wouldn't let me click publish!)

  10. Oh noes.

The first thing that stroke me as we reached the station was the smell. See I was breathing deeply trying to recover my almost-undead lungs from all this walking (I'm carrying heavy stuff, you know Mr. Billis?). Second came the light, and thus I was able to see... dead bodies. Dead mangled bodies. They have been chewn on and then discarded. And it looks like then they were someone elses's food again. Threre's blood everywhere. You could fall if not careful... that's how slippery the floor is from all that blood. But I had to search the bodies. See if they carried something useful...

So it was just too much and now I find myself puking in a corner of the station. This corner is not clean anymore either, thanks to me, and I'm getting shameful looks from my survivor colleage. He doesn't seem very proud of me. Gotta say that I could've lived without seeing so many dead people... that would've been nice.

And then this eerie, child-like crying? I'm so freaked out. It's dark and silent and bloody and now this? I've had enough!!

No. Looks like I haven't had enough yet, because a zombie is approaching. It's half eaten. Half torn apart. Half is the keyword. Half zombie is approaching in silence, looking at us with it's dead eyes. Mr Billis seems to recognise it.

    - You know it Wruce?

He nods but remais silent, aiming the gun at it but not moving. I take the antenna out and extend it again makig sure Wruce sees it. He nods again.

-Maybe we could check on that noise together, mate? and leave this one here? It's not moving very fast.

Because I'm scared as fuck and I don't want to go alone and I'd rather risk my life stabing a zombie with an antenna than checking on a possible-zombie-child on my own. In the dark. With all the blood smears surrounding me...

    -----------------------

    So C) Ask him.

(PS. Just the same message as before after adding wich option I actually choose)

  11. I choosed to go with Bruce .... "Sorry dude! A good friend of mine is named so." I go with Wruce to save his family. Maybe the best decision. After this he could help me too, and he always looks like one these guys how can fight hard and is keep cool in every problamtic situation. I'm in good hands ....

But what is this? He fights against a full horde of zombies in the tunnels, and now he's freezed by one of them that have no legs and is crawling slowley on the floor? Everything must be wrong! There is something with Wruce. He can't act, only the devil knows why ....
I have to do something. I have to realize that I'm not in dream. This is life or dead! It's time to be an active part of the story. I wouldn't hid anymore! And the first Undead that i met today is smashed down! I'M A DAMN ZOMBIE FIGHTER AND ThERE is my next victim! (It's a good chance for it, because it's crawling and slow) With this new insight a new unknown power comes up. I pick up a helmet of the dead soldier (it safes me and looks realy cool!), go to Wruce: "Give me cover! And don't care about the crawling bloody thing. I will give her an end!"
    And than ....

    B) Charge the Zombie by myself, jump with one foot on his head to leap over her and land on her back. And if I kill the Zombie with my Antenna through a mighty blow in the back, I promise Wruce:"No worries, everything is fine!"

    ReplyDelete
  12. The Zombie is slow an Wruce is acting Strage. So no B) and because the Zombie is Slow, there is no need for A) at the moment.

I want to know why Wruce is Acting Strange. So I choose C)
