"The basement door is locked, there’s a zombie approaching and what is this music that you hear?
Let’s face one problem at a time: A stormtrooper-surfer-zombie??? In your head you think: Man, If you were not dead probably we could have been great friends! Friend of a zombie? This thought make you smile, but you remember a video you saw some time ago on MassiveVoodoo, Zombie Experiment NYC was called, and they prove that zombie cant live with humans.
He is really near you, but this zombie is even slower compared to the others you have seen. Probably because of the heavy surfboard. He is almost over you, trying to bite you, but the stormtrooper helmet prevents his mouth to reach me. You just have time to open your zip lock bag, grab the zombie remains and splatter them on the visor of his helmet. He is blind and seems disoriented, roaming randomly. Cheated!

You now have the time to push the zombie on the floor and shoot is face with my boots.
An horrible noise of plastic and bones cracking... maybe is dead (again), maybe not... there are more Zombies approaching from everywhere.
Then the doors open.
There is Eduadro standing on top of two massive speakers with two molotov cocktails.
Blaring out this song als loud as possible.
Somehow it influences the zombies. They start to dance. At least kind of. Thats really really weird but buys you time to save your ass inside.
Before Eduardo slams the door shut, he grabs a molotov cocktail. Lights it and throws it at the dancing undead. The last you see before the doors clicks into its locks are some dancing Zombie torches.
Then Eduardo gives me a huge hug.
He explains to you what he knows about the situation outside in the world. That Zombie Apocalypse. He says it started when you went home. He asks you if you could imagine if this situation was caused by a figure? He thinks that your latest figure - the Vampire Queen you have finished at Ed's - was the reason for this mess. He reminds you about the Sorcery text you wrote into that book of the miniature with your ultradetail brush. First you think he is crazy ... but you remember how you went to a library in your town and searched for books about Vampires and Spells to awake the dead. C'mon this is bullshit. Big Bullshit. But Eduardo keeps strong with his oppinion and as you know Eduardo is pretty good in such things - he never fails - you start to believe ... your figure is the reason for this mess but you have no idea how the undo the spell. He tells you that Jessica is safe - he brought her to a Grandma living close to him and there is this machete guy keeping them all safe. Time goes by and you are truely fascinated by Ed's talk, kind of confused why he wears his plastic Star Wars lightsaber at his belt but without asking him you listen further and further ... a spell on a figure - wow! You remember that the book from the library still must be at Eduardo's place and you ask him about it. He tells you that he tried to find out something and read the book in whole but wasn't succesful with a solution.
Meanwhile on the outside more Zombies are dancing in the garden and they are growing in numbers. Eduardo explains to you his way of survival. He found the Monsters dancing to this song and the whole day he collects bottles, prepares molotov cocktails and in the evening he does a so called "Zombie Dance Party" where he gets as many Zombies dancing and throws his Cocktails at them.
Holy S***!
Now it is your turn again!
A) Go upstairs, let Eduardo do the "Zombie Dancing Party" alone, to check the book!
B) Stay at Eduardos side and throw some Cocktails.

A Vampire Queen Miniature which is able to raise the dead, and I painted it? Wow I must be getting really good at paintig, that it becomes this realistic. I dont know if I this a story I should tell people or never mention again. (people can be judgemental sometimes) I go and try to find that Book.

But hey, after all the running, fighting, doging, hiding, shitting my pants, why not have some fun?
I´m gonna stay with Ed and throw some mollies aswell.

What a thrilling situation. The dead awakened by a miniature vampire queen! With a bit of my help, but let's forget that part and look for the book! Maybe Edu has overlooked something that could be useful, like "erase the spell with titanium white"... but somehow I doubt it.
ReplyDeleteI decide to wait until the "zombie dance party" has started to make sure all the zombies are being take care of. I don't want to run into a rotten face while reading forbidden spells from and old book. I go upstairs trying to be as silent as possible and holding everything tightly. I still remember the last time something slipped from my hands ruining my ninjesque approach to life.
I shuffle the bookshelf searching for the book, I don't remember where I left it the last time, and everything id crowded with painting and art magazines and books. I take note of some readings for the after-apocalypse, should improve my oil painting skills...when suddenly I hear a noise. I freeze on spot, trying not to breath too loud...

Not wanting to destroy all my hard labors with my mini I ask if he happens to have some holy water to use as a wash over the painted pages, of doom.

ReplyDeleteEduardo always impressed me as being a bit odd. I head upstairs and find the book, underneath a stack of miniatures magazines and a finely bound miniature art book he bought for a steal. As I pawn through the pages looking for anything that would help me make sense of this catastrophe, I notice there are bloody fingerprints all over the book and a particularly large amount of the mess is all over the section on controlling corpses. Come to think of it, Eduardo did smell horrible and he had a strange look in his eyes. I notice more commotion out the upstairs window and am shocked to see Eduardo walking amongst the zombies, unharmed. He seems to be gesturing to them, even commanding them. He turns slowly and looks directly at me, his green eyes glowing madly. Green eyes??!!
All this is my fault? I made the dead rise from their graves...oh my God…. I’M THE KING OF NECROMANCERS!!! That is just amazing, I feel so badass. I have the power; dark side is strong in me and my brush is my magic wand. What should I do now? Read the book to undo the spell or throw molotov and watch dancing zombies burn? Is this even a question?! Let’s have some fun!!
ReplyDeleteYou grab two bottles with Eduardo and open the door, then put your arm over Ed’s shoulder and say: “Let’s the flames begin”.
Molotov flies in the sky making perfect trajectory and then they crash delivering a rain of fire over the dancing party. You watch the scene astonished with you friend, nose filled with smell of grilled chicken. Can this be the best day of your life?
