"You never met a Grandma who belives in Santa. You must be Crazy but you take the loop way and put the letter into the letter into the mailbox
Shit, you hoped that you´ll get some help from this group here.
But you understand that the well being of this community is more important than the wishes of a single individual. So yeah, you will go alone. As she asks you to go to the mailbox for a letter to santa, you don´t take her serious first, but as she insists so hard you promise her to go there first, and then to Eduardo´s . Its not a big detour anyway.
You try to call Eduardo, but there is no answer. So you send him a message that you´ll be with him soon. Before you leave you ask Grandma if there is any weapon for you. You hoped for a gun but she hands me over a big kichen knife. Hm...better than nothing you think. As my broom was a good tool of death you fix the knive to it by using some wire. A little bit more reach should be handy from time to time.

The mailbox isn't THAT far away, and she did in fact feed me some odd tasting soup which gave some weird aftertaste, (reminds you of the taste of your old W/N Series 7 after you mistakenly used it for oil paint instead of my normal Vallejo model Air acrylic). As you make your way towards my destination it occurs to you that whilst fishing for this old gal's mail, you're going to be stuck out in the open. You need to be quick about this!
On top of the mailbox lies a head of a zombie and you realise the danger you are in. There must have been a fight some while ago in these streets. Quick! You thrust your hand deep within the mailbox and retrieve the only item in the depths within, the old lady's letter. What is this green powder all over it? Dayglow paint? Suddenly you are not feeling so good. Why is the world spinning around like this? IYou slump to the ground, letter in hand, and as the world fades to black, you hear Eduardo's distinct voice calling me from the Void saying: "Help me! Help me, please!"
It feels like hours ago ... but you wake up finally. What happened? What was that green powder? Did you hear Eduardo? What about Grandma's letter to Santa?
Now it is your turn again - decide via comment what happens next?
A) Go back to Grandma and give her the letter, then head out to Eduardo's place.
B) Open the letter and read it, then go back to her, followed by your trip to Eduardo's.
C) Forget about that letter, run as fast as you can to Eduardo's place!

About THIS i care! So i stick to my original plan. I tuck away the letter in my pocket and head on to Eduardo´s place.
Somehow i feel like Don Quijote, running around with a makeshift broomknifelance, pointing towards an unseen opponent.

Damn this green stuff....you remeber the beginning from the Simpsons....this is no dayglow colour. This looks like the strange metal Homer is brining out of the factory of Mr Burns...damn it is radioactive dust.... But hey, maybe the lost tooth will grow again...who knows?
ReplyDeleteNow I wanna know what is in the letter of granny. She probably won't live long enough to recognize, that you opened it...Carefully I open the letter...oh my god.... you know that something was strange, but now it is even becoming more strange:
"Dear Santa,
I have been a really bad person this year. I ordered this herbs from asia for making nice food for my beloved, but when it arrived, the eyes of the postman looked so...dead! I think I brought this desease over us. But how could I know, that these herbs grow only close to atomic devices?! Please, all I wish for this years X-Mas is a normal familiy-party - and maybe a new Kitchen-Aid - so please Santa, help us. Maybe you could ask the tooth fairy for help!!

Soes thit make sence? Ah now...not more, then the rest of the week...So who cares, let's go to Eduardo...maybe he can blog this letter...or sing it out loud at youtube...we would get million clicks...

ReplyDeleteUse a bit of duct tape to cover the zombie head's mouth and take it along with me. Must save Eduardo from wild packs of kids or hungry undead hordes.
The letter w/ strange green powder can wait if there is a life on the line.
What was this? i still feel a bit dizzy. Green Powder... all the voices... Eduardo. I search my bag for a little piece of duct tape and try carefully to stick something from the green powder on the tape. I beware not to touch the letter with my fingers and Put it in a new ziplock bag. Eduardo this nerd maybe know what that powder could be. it could be poison, or something radioactive... i put the ziplock bag in an other ziplock bag and in an other ziplog bag. safety first! and then i run to eduardos place. i hope he is alive [C]

ReplyDeleteBut I'm the luckiest person on earth (dead or alive) as I'm still breathing after passing out here in the open. I guess I look like shit right now (because granny didn't have a shower) and so I look alike a zombie. Yay! My greatest achievement thus far.
Anyhow, I should've remembered to bring my safety gear. ALWAYS wear gloves is something that should be engraved in my brain by now but... well I forgot, obviously no one wants to paint while wearing gloves. You loose your magic touch. Aaand that's why my hand is covered in green dust. Maybe some kind of spores.
I read once that there was a fungus specie that inserted spores inside ants' brains and they turned into something pretty much like zombies. Maybe that's what happened here... the revenge of the shrooms!
What if I have been infected when touching the letter? Will I turn into one of them? Damn it! I was doing so well until now! I wonder how much time do I have left as a human. So many thing I still need to do and say! I can't un-die yet, my speech (and painting skills and taste in music) would be severely affected! Unbearable.
I want to run for Eduardo's place, plus I vaguely remember something that sounded like a distress call from him. But I've promised to come here and retrieve the letter. Granny may worry, or think I'm dead and send some other, maybe moustache-man, to get it and they could get killed... because of me! I make a compromise between my options and safe-seal the letter in one ziplock bag. Then, taking one of my paint pots ( yellow one contrasts nicely with the blue mailbox and will stand out in case it gets stained with blood) I hastly write "Granny, I have the letter with me, I'll go back to your place later" and "If I die, please search the inner pocket of my jacket".
Then I proceed to ninja-run to where I thought Edu's voice came from. Sleek and silent, or at least that's what I think...
