5 Fears that can Destroy an Artist

Nice read and maybe a good motivation …

5 Fears

  1. #5 always nails me. I'm lucky enough that I know I'm mediocre, unoriginal, and will never make any money doing anything creative, but I do wish projects would end up looking more like I imagined they'd look when I started out...

  2. Even considering it hobby, I had my work exposed to such demons. Therefore this article makes me feel accompanied and helps on taking perspective. Moreover, as I'm going through some of this right now: my most sincere thanks!

  3. Funny! My Projects often turn out waaay better then I have already imagined them...^_^... There is something very healthy about "simply" starting and fabricating things... If you start, improvise your way up and stay true to your Idea, Aesthetics, high Quality standards and most importantly: To yourself!... Then you will be able to create something that will even exceed even your wildest imagination...:D...

But don´t push it too hard, you might end up with nothing in your Hands...;)...

  5. Gosh, what a great article. I can identify with pretty much all of those points, apart from #3. My own self-doubt is crippling sometimes, but people who I care deeply about, are more than supportive of my painting (when I do some that is). I realise that I do need to "get on with it" and stop worrying so much, but it's not easy. Thanks for sharing; I'm going to reflect a lot on those 5 fears... :)
