Best wishes and happy painting
Sascha
hey Guys... thank you all so much for your comments.. i´m happy that you enjoy him ..
ReplyDeletesure i would share the metal recipewith you guys..
first of all... its all traditional brushwork
no airbrush...although i wished often in the middle of the process ..as he is really big..
its a combiation of diffrent metallic paint ..
i used some of the "old " GW paints
i start with GW Tinbits or something similar.. then boltgun and the final highlights are the metallics from vallejio air(chrome or silver).
i first work wet in wet for the main colors .. then i shade them down and ad the final lights
before adding the highlights
and i shade the surface down with with a combination of browns and blue glazes (dank sea blue vallejio model color and tank brown vallejio air(its a little satin)..), its important to have the midtones a bit satin so it doesn't looses its metallic over all look..the dark shadows and the recesses can be really flat.
Ben,
ReplyDeleteYou sir are amazing. I recently started painting after a 25 year break and found your nmm Sigmarine tutorial and now this!!!
