Hypnotic Beat!

Posted by Raffa, Picster, Capuchin,...

Hey everyone!

haaaaaaa, what a beautiful weekend it was! Meeting old and new friends at the Duke of Bavaria 2012 in Ingolstadt was great as every year! Thanks everyone for this nice experience!

A report about the duke will follow in a short time.

As I finished a project last week, just in time for the duke, I will show you some photos of her.
It is a bust of the Medusa, sculpted by the talented hands of Allan Carrasco for the Lugdunum figurine club. Val was so kind to organize us some copies of this nice bust.

I wanted to create my own impression of a Medusa, ....

Hypnotic Beat

Oh and I finally managed to take some photos of another mini I finished some time ago:

No Fear, No Regrets

I hope you like both of these :)

Read you soon!

  1. I am Hypnotized...:)... Well Done once again... Beautiful, beautiful Medusa, very characteristic and "special"... Recognizeable for sure...

The Only two parts that could have been a bit more defined are the lower, flesh coloured Face (too smooth in my humble opinion...) and maybe a slight shine on the Orange Snake Bodies... But yeah, spectacular! Thanks for Sharing... I am really sorry I could not meet my Monkey Brothers this year due to my Diploma, but we will see one another for the German GD for sure... :)...

  2. The American Soldier... Super dynamic and harmonic base, underlining the superb twisted pose... That´s how bases are ment to look like... Very Cool...

  5. Both are fucking hilarious awesome! Especially the medusa rocks like hell (e.g. eyes and the specular lights).

    Best regards,

  7. Wow, also die Medusa ist absolut genial, einzig die Schlangen könnten etwas mehr Kontrast vertragen.

Meiner Meinung nach eine deiner besten Minis, gefällt mir wirklich ausgesprochen gut.

I love the Medusa-Bust absolutly stunning paintjob. A litte bit more Contrast on the snakes and it would be perfect ;-) None the less, one of your best minis!

  8. aaand... I have to bring the apes with their medusa busts to the next Lugdunum show now! ;-) "Ich muss", it's my duty :D
lol, but one way or another, you have to put them on competition next year in Lugdunum, and I will help if necessary. and I also think Allan will be very happy to see IRL the totally crazy horsesome MV versions :-)

  10. Usually I am not doing a lot of comments on miniatures, but here I make an exception.
This Medusa is so special and so full of crazy creative ideas, it is pure awsomeness.
When I think back to the 'Herzog von Bayern' event, this is the miniature that comes always first in mind.
