Bilbo Beggins, Paris, Rhino.. etc

Bilbo Baggins


I want to show you my latest Miniature, a Diorama with Bilbo Baggins.


I invested a lot of time in creating the scene around Bilbo, this project was one of the most bonding projects in my time in this hobby. And I am happy with the overall looking and the process, from creating the base, from the first step with knead milliput to the final look. He won bronze at the Golden Vinci, in the open Category (behind my jungle mates)^^


So far I hope you like it, I am looking forward to the next projects.. they will be different, but I think I will stay close to this natural basing thing..:)

These two pictures were from AFM Montrouge. I was a little bit unlucky in the competition I think.. but okey, the competition is over and it's important to look to the next projects now.




My version of the Rhino, I know the pictures of him aren't perfect. The scene is called "my brother". His CMON Link is:

    Absolutely beautifull congrats to your Vinci :D. The nature around the base is so realistic its awesome. Tomorrow the Vinci is going out to you ;)

    The Shire... a blissful place where the ugly realities of war and chaos should not intrude. Some say Bilbo Baggins brought them home with him, but the wise know they would have come calling some day anyway.

    Wow!! I love the Bilbo Beggins dio. If I knew any better I'd say it looks just like a screenshot from the movie. :)
    Great job! You just motivated me to do something LOTR now.

    The "My Brother" dio is breathtaking as well. Great colors and the base looks very realistic.

    Fantastic job, if you find the time could you direct us to where you source your basing materials and if possible the codes/names ? as it's so hard to find reliable products with such poor product pictures in shops.

    Even if the picutres here are a bit too small..It's not so easy to upload them the right way.

    @Anonym: I use materials of many different companies. In the future I will write some kind of a Tutorial or a compendium about it.
