Jungle measuring

posted by Mati, Badsmile, orang utan

Hello friends of the jungle !

I got asked a few times about the proportion chart I used in the sculpting tutorial so I thought I make a new one and make it available here for you.
There are two versions, one with fancy extra lines that can turn out to be quite helpful at times and one just with one tiiiiiiiny line.
Feel free to save them to your computer and rescale them to your desired amount of mm, inches, 10ths of bananas or whatever measuring system suits you best.

We have a little photo issue here - during maintance work I can recommand this page to everybody for scale charts: anatomy 4 sculptors

Basic version:

Fancy lines version:

Hope you have tons of fun with them !

Wish everybody a nice weekend,

Mati

  4. How do we scale them? I know how to increase or decrease the image size but how tall or short do I make them for say 28mm? That's dumb right, just shrink this image down to 1.1 inches? Is your image above a "standard" size?

Thank you for your site and time. These are great!

  5. Make a selection of the image, make sure you include everything. The selection should be from his feet to the top of the head. Then you can scale down the selection. Change it from Inches to cm if nescessary. At 28 mm make it 2.8 cm small, for a 32 mm model make it 3.2 cm tall.

This above has no standard size, it is the size that was comfortable to draw.

    Hope I could help you.

  6. In your sculpting tutorial with the wire, in the background there is a proportional chart for the different miniature scales. Where did you get that chart?

    Thanks
