@anonymous: there are always haters and jalous people, you clerly see that's her who pours the paints on the canvas....and I don't think it's that hard, children have a natural creativity which may be lost afterwards, but I think many children would be able to do this ;)
It's nice to see a child playing with color and the art world goes crazy... this is the stupid thing about abstract art... can you remember the monkey paintings that were sold for a large amount of money in a new york gallery? It's exactly the same... abstract "art" is pretty much bullshit... the pictures are really nice to look at... but art? cmon, art is more that random color on a canvas. I feel sorry for the child as she is the center of a large PR gag made up by her parents, maybe one day she can decide what happens with her paintings...
Abstract monkeys? But You're so right Raffa, art is truly more than random color on canvas! Nevertheless these colors are truly beautiful. Hope she keeps on her hobby.
Couldn't agree more with you Raffa. That the parents sell her paintings for thousands of dollars (which she'll probably never see) is just a little added insult.
Still, watching her paint is fun. I think miniature painting should be more like painting like a child. Less techniques, less "official" paint schemes to follow, just fun and experiments with color :)
@Anonymous No artistic expression is bullshit in my eyes too, if it is writing, painting, cooking, etc. - everything comes from the depth of the person's soul doing it - whatever if it is abstract or not, but it shall not be up to me or someone else to judge others perceptions - everyone has eyes and they read the world around - some are able to read deep, others are not ... i think this subject can be discussed for a thousand years without a result ... I love how this girl works with her colours and her creativity on this video - she doesn't look punished either, more very deeply hidden in her own world and this place is a well known to me :)
@Anonymous: Tolerance for the opinions of others is a gift ;)
I wrote my own opinion about it and i accept others for sure, i didn't write anything about bullshit...
I love what the girl does, but for me it's lacking the knowledge of the artist about what he is doing. The canvas come prepainted in a color the girl can't choose, the colors that the girl gets are chosen by the parents... for me she is lacking the awareness about what she is doing (not her fault, she is just plainly too young). And i can't stand the way she is marketed by her parents...
But as i said, this is just my opinion ;) And why should education change my view about art? Art is completely in the eye of the viewer.
that is a complete lie you can only apreciate truly art if you are educated and learn about all that form of culture, is it the baroque painters or the modern ones im not contesting the kid im just contesting your subjective mediocre view over everything art is
My view about art is MY view, and if you can't respect this and it looks that way i feel pity for you.
Don't try to stick your opinion on mine, it won't work and with writing such words without knowing any background about the other person is more than senseless.
Art is something that is completely different in different cultures and every culture has it's own definition of art. Show a late Picasso painting to natives in africa and for them it's just a piece of paper with some color on it (maybe). So who can define art? You? Certainly not.
So please respect the view of others and be more tolerant.
well that is a way to end a discussion subjectivism leads no where there is a good and there is a bad and we in our life we have to discuss and argument it and not just stick with our own because it is my opinion and opinions are opinions as if that is ashield to all arguments and for your picasso question: picasso actually was ispired as all cubist art by african art so as can you(or maybe not) look at a african native mask see beuty and modernism they can also see on all other art Ihope you dont cut short any discussion you have about anything and begin to apreciate a good discussion
