Hunting the Last

Hey there!

The last days were full of drawing for me, yes drawing, almost no painting, at least miniatures ;)
As i'm getting more and more closer to my self employment i'm reading anatomy books and sketching the whole day to get better at what i do.

So here is my latest completed artwork, it was going through some stages but right now i'm very happy with it as i tried out some new twists and style things and it worked out pretty well :)

Hunting the Last is about life and death, one cannot exist without the other.

It was painted in Photoshop, the sketch was done on paper. If you have questions, just ask :)

Here was the first concept i draw for the following digital work.
Some errors were in the concept but that's the good thing about digital art ;)

And while i was saving the sketch i made a detail collage:

    Like it too, althoug some more contrast between the woman with the ..erm.."deer" and the background would be good.

    Proportions seems to be well done!

    nice mid section on the girl. also nice pose and proportions and perspective too.

    What resolution was it when you painted it in photoshop?

    BTW: I love that the knife isn't placed in the dead animal in the final version - that makes it less ... mmh, i don'T know - now i would love to see a epiclly strong lionking posing over a dead hunter ;)

    But now here is what I thought about first, when I saw that pic. AMERICAN FOOTBALL. Thats right. I guess its the pattern on the back of the dear deer that reminds me of the oval shaped pigskin ^^

    Wow, schaut echt gut aus. Besonders gefallen haben mir deine Lesezeichen, insbesondere Daenerys. Womit haste die gemalt ? N kleines Tutorial wäre nett besonders was das Papier die Öse und das geflochtene Lederband angeht. Ich hab lange überlegt was ich ner guten Freundin zum Geburtstag schenke, und als ich die Lesezeichen gesehn hab hats Klick gemacht, danke dafür )

    I'm glad Roman asked as I was also curious to see a sketch comparison. Little things like the perspective angle of the face changing for the better from sketch to paint, were interesting to see.
