Yeppa, soon the blog of MASSIVE VOODOO turns to have a big birthday party between all these banana and coconut trees, bongo drums playing loud and wild from every corner of the jungle, big party is going to be prepared and all the dancing bikini girls are getting oiled from my hands, haha. To be honest to all our jungle tourists - this has been a wonderful year. Let me explain...
On September 18th in 2009 Raffa pushed me to start a blog and i've named it Massive Voodoo. There have been no plans for it, simply enjoying my view on happy painting, sharing my thoughts and views on this wonderful hobby. During these days, back in 2009 i was really not in a good state of mind as i felt burnt out from my hyperactive activities in different hobby forums and via emails... The first seed in the jungle changed it all. Big Kong soon felt lonely and asked good Ape friends if they want to join the jungle party...
There is one thing for certain when i look at this blog and how it did grow from during the past. I will always keep on doing the things my way with a satisified mind, but without a plan behind everything. Happy Painting did become something really from the blood for myself. I am a real happy Kong when i look at all my friends who joined me in this colourful party and i am thankful for every thought they share with us in here. What makes me really proud is that there are so many people intrested in our thoughts we share in here and i have to thank everyone of you, because you and the love to the hobby that sorrounds us all are the biggest motivation one can recieve. I want to thank everyone of you, especially to those who wrote me their thoughts about this jungle of creativity and how this blablubb in here did help the one or the other in enjoying their hobby even more. I also want to thank everyone who supported Massive Voodoo during the last year via a jungle donation, wether it was a small amount of bananas or a big load of bananas, your help is always appreciated and from my heart - the jungle tries to give it all back to you in here by helping whereever our knowledge allows us to. I also want to thank everyone who linked us up somewhere, thanks a bunch for spreading the word...
Now before i get deeply melancholic in here - the Birthday is not yet!
It is on 18th September 2010 :)
MASSIVE VOODOO Birthday Present for our Jungle readers
Why am i writing this already is that you, our jungle readers get a chance to win something BIG again. But this time you got to do something for it and there will be only one of you who wins.
What you got to do?
Take a photo of your workbench/your place you paint and sculpt in a typicall state of progress. Just shot it today or tomorrow, don't clean up for Kong. You have to be a follower/subscriber of our jungleblog (check out on the right)
OR
You have to be a fan of Massive Voodoo on Facebook: CLICK HERE
THEN
Write a mail to 'JARHEAD(at)MASSIVEVOODOO(dot)COM' with the Subject 'Jungle Birthday' (important for me so i can sort out! Emails without this subject will be deleted) and your Username (on Facebook or as a Follower, so we can check it) and attach your photo of your workbench.
How you can win?
Myself, Roman, is searching through your workbench photos and simply chooses one from the heart. I try to find the biggest Happy Painting Spirit in the entries and choose only one depending from my own opinion. Every entry will be shown here in the jungle. There is no need to prepare your workbench, simply be honest and natural to win Kong's heart...
The final date for your emails will be September 18th 2010.
What you can win?
Not only my heart for sure, haha. I will prepare a big box of stuff for you, a so called Jungle Surprise Box, with tons of cool basing material, some miniatures for painting, sockets, etc. - but mostly tons of cool basing material which are also explained in our article section and maybe a banana. You don't have to pay shipping costs, it is a big box for one of you as a gift, everyone has the chance to win it. Now is the time to take a photo of your workbench!!
Looking forward to your entries!!
If you got some questions left, please feel free to add them as a comment!
Keep on happy painting!
Best Regards
Your MASSIVE VOODOO Crew

Happy Birthday! I read the site pretty regularly, and have improved my skills so much from your tutorials.. My favorite is either the discussion of metallic painting or the discussion of painting shadows.
ReplyDeleteFavorite Ape would have to be Raffa. :)
