Son of Ogimos finished...

posted by roman, jarhead, kong

This Rackham guy was a real joy to paint... big and brutal Son of Ogimos. He is angry because Ogimos himself gave him house detention... Ogimos got to learn that this is not a good idea doing this to his sons... or maybe he got other problems, who knows, maybe a small ... nope i won't speak further - hope you like him!

Son of Ogimos, Rackham 32 mm (big)

Here you can see him in my cabinet, photo done with lightning of the camera, a bit too bright and red indeed:

Here you can find a tutorial on how i have individualized the socket with fire and here you can find some thoughts about my work order and the use of zenithal light on a miniature - i hope you enjoy!

Keep on happy painting!
Regards
Roman

  4. Was the blood done with Tamiya Clear Effects Red, or was it done in some other way?

    Oh yes... I... I... had to add GORE!!!

    @ZEE
    Yeah, i do the basecoating of the miniature in one of my techniques i would call best "Wet in Wet" - there are different versions of this technique around in the world, so mine must not be the best at all... i put the basic colours - up to the model already including light and i shadow and maybe some other colours and after this basecolour/light is applied I take my time to work from chaos to fine details... i have to admit that it took me about 15 hours to finish this model... and i know a lot of places where i could have gone further... no special Kong Fu Tricks... simply my version of Wet in Wet makes the time, but it is so hard to explain this in words and we did not make it to do a good video about it yet... we'll try and try... and for sure let you know about our progress - i would love to welcome you as a Painting Class Participant someday to explain this to you...

    @DarkTower
    Thanks!

    @Ringsnake
    Yepp, done with Clear Red by Tamyia... i've added a bit of Natron to it to create "material) (Natron: I usually use for Snow/check the article section)

  6. Looks amazing, as always, although I would have gone for a more reddish face for emphazising the rage.

  7. This one turned out really cool - so very different from how I started painting mine.
    He really looks angry :)

  8. Great, I love the cold coulours you used. Damn.. he must have very cold feets (perfect skintone ):D
    But I am not sure about the hair, it looks unfinished for me. Or anything else.. hm, but the white/grey don't fit in my point of view. But I couldn't tell you a better solution :P

    But rest is really great, not at least because its a Rackham mini :)

    best regards
    Oli
