Iron Butterfly

Hallo Leute!

Morning Star

My entry is Morning Star after a phrase in the New Testament Book, Revelations Chapter 2 Verses 26 to 29.

"And he who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of the potter are broken to pieces, as I have received authority from My Father; and I will give him the morning star. 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches'. "
Its a Peterbuilt 359 Turbo Diesel, with a fabricated bed, which can be dropped since it is built on a still functional fifth-wheel (just in-case one happens upon a functional trailer).  Heavily armored front end with Radar and IR arrays in the former headlight stalks and some regular headlights and a loudspeaker, and some good-ole Bull-Horns.  The front wheels are armed/protected by spinners and the tool boxes house a diesel fueled flamethrower each, to melt aggressors tires.  The drivers and passengers doors have decks welded on below with large rails for housing a pile of sand-bags; which offer a readily renewable armor and make for a good cloud defense when punctured.  The driver/passenger enter and exit through the sleeper doors, a secret hatch in the floor, or the window bars that flip down. There are flood-lights facing rear, side and fore, and spotlight with signal shutter on overhead swivel.  Chain/snare rear mudflaps (good for catching up pesky nomads crossbow bolts). Not much of the necessity's of survival are presented on the exterior of the truck since there is ample storage underneath and inside the sleeper.  On the bed is several drums of water and oil and a chicken coop. Eggs good eatin!  Considering banana trees are likely sparse and very difficult to bring along...
I had wanted a recon / light vehicle to check out new towns in or just find ways around blocked roads, but bikes kept getting stolen by sneaky wastelanders (outbid me on eBay), so I busted out the welder and kit bashed an ultralight.  It has a nice torquey electric motor which is solar recharged, and when not scouting the skies it can put down and reconfigure to land-sail.  It has rear stowage with a toolbox and spare sail material, a gassmask and filter, crossbow.  There is a hole in the floor for visual, dropping IED's or for popping off a crossbow shot if flying over wilder-beasts, for dinners.
I detailed the cabin of the truck with a 12 gauge police shotgun, named 'LawGiver', an 8-ball Shifter Knob, and a crossbow mounted to the dash, also are overhead controls for the electronics and communications (assuming anyone's out there) and roll cages on each seat, and a curtain to lend privacy to the sleeper and most important- the fuzzy dice!

Soon, more! 13 out of 29!
